Restaurant Pizzeria Šušanj is at Obala Vladimira Nazora 15, in the centre of Karlobag, with its terrace turned towards the sea and Pag.
How it came about
The house was conceived as a pizzeria. Over time the offer widened to Adriatic fish, seafood, grilled dishes, pasta and salads. Those are the words the Municipality of Karlobag and the Karlobag tourist board both use for it.
The restaurant is run by TOMLJENOVIĆ d.o.o., registered at the same address.
No founding year and no family story appear here, because no source establishes them.
A day that runs seventeen and a half hours
The restaurant opens at six in the morning and closes at half past eleven at night, every day. That is longer than almost anything else on this stretch of coast, and it changes what the place actually is. In the morning it is somewhere to have coffee and breakfast before a drive or a ferry. Around midday it becomes a restaurant. In the evening the terrace faces the sun going down over the channel.
Brunch is served from seven to eleven and is the only part of the menu published with prices anywhere. The whole card is on the food and drink page, transcribed from the restaurant own card.
Google singles out coffee and dessert on the restaurant profile, and lists it as popular for breakfast, lunch and dinner alike. Not many restaurants cover all three.
